She Is Only Two!
One of the blessings of Easter Sunday was listening to my two year old granddaughter, Katie recite the first question of the Heidelberg Catechism Link
She not only knows the first question of the catechism but also knows the Lord's Prayer and the Apostles Creed.
Noah Webster said that a child's ability to memorize far exceeds her ability to understand. Does Katie know everything she has recited. Of course not, but her understanding will catch up later. A child is only limited by the energy that the parent is willing to expend to teach.
